CREATING A GORGEOUS WEDDING WEBSITE

Sunday, January 10, 2016

Creating a wedding website for your guests is definitely a must! Let's face it, we live in a digital world and everyone is online and more tech savvy than ever. If your 75 year old Grandma is on Facebook in the middle of the sticks, putting all your wedding details in one place on a website is a sure place where all your guests can access it, anywhere, anytime. Here is your guide to the absolute must details to be sure to include on your wedding website and a few of my favorite wedding websites out there currently.

A picture of you and your lover and wedding date should be the first thing your guests see. First impression is everything, right?

Telling your love story of how you met, your proposal or a special story, your guests love to hear about the sweet little details of you, the special couple. It will excite your guests even more in looking forward to celebrating your big day.

If you have a gift registry, whether it's at Macy's, a honeymoon or house fund, you will want to include these details and the links to the direct registry website.

Whether you are having a destination wedding or tying the knot in your hometown, including a wedding day or wedding weekend itinerary or timeline of all the important events is a must! You can include the time & place of welcome cocktails, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail reception, dinner, dance and farewell brunch.

Include all hotel accommodations where you have room blocks at and local transportation companies, especially if Uber does not service that area. You can also include any other local restaurants, bars, shops or unique places in the area you recommend that your guests might enjoy. Be sure to include direct links to each of these place's websites also.

If you are hosting several weekend wedding events or are opting not to send out paper invites, you will want to have all your guests RSVP via your wedding website. Wedding websites have great guest management organization where an evite will be sent out via email to all of your guests that will direct them to your online invite or wedding website.
